There are times when you want to do it yourself. 
 

Get into the kitchen, work a little bit (and when I say a little bit, I really mean just a little bit) and come out with a beautiful and delicious cake that will blow everyone’s mind. But then you are left with a pile of dishes in the sink, messy counters and you also remember that your cakes have never blown anyone’s mind. 

Other times the cake is just an excuse for wanting to have a fun and tasty activity together with or without the kids.  You are setting yourself in advance for a messy kitchen, but then you are stuck with some poor baking skills and even though you read the recipe for simple cookies, something still doesn’t seem to work.
